When it comes to comfort and luxury in bed, there is nothing better than a well-made quilt which is also known as a duvet or a doona. To buy the right quilt to keep you comfortably warm, you'll need to decide on your preferred type of filling, such as goose down, wool, cotton, microfibre or polyester. Then, choose a quilt with the right weight according to the current season. Available in winter weight (normally 500 grams per square metre) and in summer weight (approximately 300gsm), quilts with box construction are often advisable as the filling in each boxed compartment doesn't shift or get bunched down to the bottom of your quilt during your sleep.
